Looking for a Belly Fat Buster? When February or March roll around like clockwork the initial swim suit ads start to show up. Makes you think how you’ll look in this season’s bathing suit or tank top, right?
Why? Well, if the truth be told, you have no more control over where you lose fat from than you did over where you added it on. That’s more of a genetic thing. So even though there may plenty of belly fat available directly around your abs, while crunching away your ab muscles probably won’t tap that fat source. And can’t use fat that's in that form anyway. You see, contrary to popular belief abdominal exercises, inner thigh exercises, etc. do not directly burn body fat stored in those parts of the body. In fact when working out a muscle and it calls for fuel the fat tapped can come from anywhere in the body. More likely than not it typically comes from the fat that was deposited last. Still, the best ab excercises build up your abs strength and do tone your torso. Making for great waist management. Without getting all medical on you here’s how the fat into fuel conversion process works. Doctors call that stored body fat "adipose tissue". When needed adipose tissue is first sent to the liver. There it is broken down into free fatty acids which is a source of energy muscles can use. Anyway what I’m trying to say is there are no weight loss miracles with your name on them. Nothing that can instantly produce a slimmer, sexier, more confident you! Sensible weight loss and healthy weight management typically require eating less and exercising more. You know like brisk walking or swimming? Studies show that a good cardio workout can help cut belly fat as well any workout. And for sure better than any spot exerciser. Luckily if you take notice of that excess belly fat in March, there’s still plenty of time to get into a new healthier routine. So you can get into this season’s hot swim suit - fab abs and all.
