More of the Best Ab Workouts Techniques
In the first part of the best ab workouts techniques we learned that slower, longer, and less is better.
|
Here are three more technique tips.
More Weight Is Better
Using weights (on your chest or held on your head) is another way to do more with less. Train your abdominals this way and you'll be able to cut way back on the number of reps and get better results. Ideally using enough weight with your abdominal workout so you fatigue those muscles with just 12-15 repetitions max (just like any other strength workout).
Remember to exhale when you are contracting those abs.

Extra Is Better
When doing any flat tummy exercises, extra is better. By "extra" I mean you want to concentrate on not only the crunch, leg lift or whatever the exercise is, but focus on keeping the abs tight with constant tension during your entire ab session. Or as much as possible.
Having a Goal is Better
With any workout routine, your success is not always obvious or easy to see. But if you track and set goals you'll see progress on paper. Which can motivate you to stick with it until you do see the results of all the sweat and effort.
Follow these and the best ab workouts technique tips on the previous page and you'll soon pump muscle into your midsection.
