Blended Delight Blissful Very Berry
For this recipe you can use fresh or frozen berries. If you go with frozen just let them thaw a bit, okay?
½ cup blueberries
½ cup strawberries
½ cup raspberries
1 cup high calcium orange juice
2 tablespoons of honey
½ teas spoon vanilla
1 cup ice cubes
All you do is throw all the berries, honey and OJ into a blender and puree until silky smooth.
Then add the ice and blend until the ice is all mixed too.
This is a versatile recipe with the potential for endless variation. And I think the best smoothie recipes should be adaptable, don't you?
If you want it more orangie go with canned orange slices instead of blueberries.
You can substitute peaches and nectarines for any two berries.
If you want to start your day off with blended bliss but you're short on time in the morning, you can put the ingredients in the blender the night before and stick it in the freezer. Then grab the blender in the morning and just push a button.
Another tip? Store leftovers in the freezer. Thaw in the microwave for 30-40 seconds and re-blend them in the blender.
Now I have to confess. I don't know if this is one of the best smoothie recipes or not! But it sure is D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! And easy to make given I have 50 pounds of hand picked frozen raspberries in the freezer!
