Elastic resistance training bands help you build strength anywhere anytime. That's one obvious advantage of resistance training bands. They give you a "go with you" workout capability.


Plus they make for a great senior workout. Resistance bands are a quick but effective way to workout for all ages.

Resistance Bands Exercise

Whenever you work out, at the club, with resistance training bands, or in the basement it's always smart to warm up. Here's a one minute cardio warm up made more effective by adding resistance.
Marching in place, lifting those knees high will get the heart pumping. Add to the effectiveness by tying a resistance tube to your feet. So you've got to work to pump up those knees.

Slide from that into side steppin'

Move the resistance training bands to your ankles. Think giant rubber band.

Step to the right sideways with your right foot.
As you step bend into a quarter squat to work those thighs
Bring the left leg over and straighten up.

Repeat to the right five times. Then the left. These movements work out your lower body including the upper hips and hard to work inner thighs.
