Sneaky Ways to Get and Stay Fit

Did you know that with a bit of creativity you can sneak in your fitness activities without you even knowing it?

That's because every little bit helps.


So put on your thinking cap. But to get you started here's some ideas:
• Park at the far end of the parking lot and briskly walk to the store, mall, or your office even.
• Get into gardening.
• Take the stair instead of the elevator - especially when going up?
• Don’t just sit there, workout while watching TV.
• Get off the bus one stop early.
• Walk the dog - literally.
• Instead of joining the gang in the break room walk around your building.
• Here’s one, don’t buy that self propelled lawn mower.
It’s a good idea to start slow. Especially if you’ve been inactive for awhile. Build up by adding a few minutes a week.

Also choose activities you enjoy. Odds are if you like them you'll be more likely to stick with them.

Did you know 25-30 minutes is all it takes? Even better before long it will be a habit. A healthy habit. Then watch out Fitness will sneak up on you!

One other idea. Plan ahead. If you find it hard to get your physical activity in after work try getting it in before.
