Some feel the best ab excercises are done on a stability ball. So how about some free excercise ball exercises?


Because workouts done on a stability ball let you effectively isolate the lower abs, upper abs and oblique muscle groups.

For sure more effectively than any machine or device that has you only moving in a single plane of movement.

Of course I can't say if you'll loose belly fat fast this way. But it can't hurt. Especially as part of an overall workout routine that is heavy on aerobic exercises. Since those are the cardiovascular exercises that will really burn off the fat.

Here's a brief excercise ball routine:

Upper Abs: The best exercise to tone and strengthen the upper abdominals is also the easiest: the basic crunch on a ball. Lay the small of your back on the ball supporting yourself with your feet. Raise your upper body (chest and shoulders) several inches off the ball using your abs. It's even better if you squeeze your abs tight and hold in the raised position for a count of three. Exhaling as you come up. Inhaling as you relax and lower.

Obliques: To work the obliques or muscles on the sides of your waist you need to "do the twist". Simply perform a crunch on a ball at alternating angles. Twisting (turning) your shoulder (not the elbow) across your body to the opposite knee. Repeat the movement to exercise the muscles on both sides.

Those are a couple free excercise ball exercises.

Do these three times a week and you'll soon notice a sculpted mid section taking shape. And that's what doing the best ab excercises is all about right?
