STANDARD CRUNCH
Lie flat on your back, knees bent, feet flat on the floor. With your hands by your ears, lift your head and upper body off the floor, using your abs not your arms to do the lifting. Hold in the upright position for a count of five. Contracting your abs tightly. Slowly lower back to the floor. Repeat 20-25 times.

REVERSE CRUNCHES
Again on the floor lie on your back. With your hands by your eats, slowly pull your knees toward your chest - lifting your rear end off the floor. Curl up as far as you can. Hold to a count of three. Slowly lower your legs back to the floor.

Finally without using the floor for support, let's take it up a notch.

CRUNCH on a BALL
Sit on your stability ball. "Walk" your feet out in front of you slowly until the small of your back rests on the ball.

While exhaling, tuck your chin to your chest and raise your upper body off the ball contracting your abs. Hold for a count of one thousand three. Lower. Repeat 10-15 times.

Enhance the effect by holding a five pound flat weight on your head.
